It has been a minute since we talked kitchen renovations! The kitchen is the true workhorse of the home, and designing one from the ground up requires mind-numbing thoughts like “Do I want the silverware drawer next to the sink or the refrigerator? Do I like reaching for drinking glasses with my left or right hand?” All of these tiny decisions can make your head spin! A truly custom kitchen is exciting because there are literally endless options. For this West Houston kitchen renovation, we wanted to keep things a bit classic with a light and bright palette, but some touches of unexpected modern elements through finish and shape. Take a look at the renovation design board:

WEST HOUSTON KITCHEN – PROGRESS
I often tell clients during a renovation “It gets worse before it gets better!” You’ll see what I mean in these kitchen progress photos. Have a concrete design plan before an ounce of renovation begins – that’s key! You can then rest easy because the final product has been planned out , inch by inch.
WEST HOUSTON KITCHEN – AFTER
After all of the dust is wiped away and the accessories perfectly styled, this classic bright kitchen is set to host a number of delicious meals. All of the finishes here are durable and easily cleaned, despite the light color. We love how the warm floating wood shelves break up the sea of white and add an earthy element. It’s also fun to have a small area to display more decorative kitchen items, while the white shaker cabinets conceal the tupperware and cookie sheets. I would say the pup feels right at home here! 🙂
