After you inquire on our website, Lauren will contact you via phone to discuss your needs and set up an in-person design consultation.

During your consult, Lauren will visit your home to discuss your goals, needs, style, budget, and go over a thorough estimate of the scope of work with you. She'll also walk through her process with you and answer any questions.

01. INiTIAL IN-HOME DESIGN CONSULTATION

One of our favorite parts of the process is the design concept phase! We'll gather detailed project information from you, perform extensive design research, and put together a collection of design concepts for your review. After meeting and gathering feedback, we'll implement any needed refinements, send over updated design concepts, and give you a chance to review. Then you provide your official approval on the direction and style.

02. DESIGN CONCEPT

Upon approval of your design concepts, we'll create your drawings and space plans, furniture selections, material and furnishing specifications, custom quotes, detailed budget breakdowns, and—of course—our comprehensive design presentation boards. We'll work through our review and refinement process to get everything (including budget) exactly where you want them. Once you give your official approval and budget sign-off, we move onto purchasing!

03. DESIGN DEVELOPOMENT

We take pride in ordering, tracking, evaluating, and storing all shipments for your project. This often involves detailed scheduling, order expediting, coordinating delivery, and managing any returns or replacements. Rest assured that we'll take care of every detail, ensuring everything arrives in tip top shape and that you're informed and up to date as needed.

04 Purchasing & Execution

Our favorite part of the process—install day (or days)! Furnishings, decor items, soft goods, lighting, and all finishings are delivered and installed in their perfect places by our trusted professionals, of course with the supervision and direction of Lauren and the Studio L team. We invite you back into your space for the final reveal—a home that truly reflects you.

05. PROJECT INSTALLATION & EVALUATION

Have more questions?

We work diligently to handpick vendors and sources and have spent years cultivating relationships with them. We invest time and resources visiting trade shows each year, scouring vendor displays for their newest products. We have the opportunity to touch and feel these pieces before we recommend them to our clients. That's a long way of saying: you can trust us. We have incredibly high standards for quality and style. Custom pieces cannot be returned, but we don't think that will be a concern once you get your hands on them.

What if I don't like something after I see it in person?

In short: no. It's safer and much more efficient for us to complete the installation phase without you present. We know it can be difficult to stay away, but the big reveal moment will be worth it for everyone involved!

can we be home during installation?

We love repeat clients! Once our initial project is completed, we can draw up a new proposal and contract to take on any additional areas you would like for us to work in.

What if I want to add to my project later on?

This is another benefit of a receiving warehouse! The furnishings we order will go there first, where they will be carefully inspected. Anything not up to par will be sent back before it ever reaches your home.

WHO IS RESponsible for damages?

With our years of experience, we are well skilled in estimating the amount of design time a project will take. However, if the scope of work changes or there is a procurement issue that may delay the project, we will let you know ahead of time. While challenges are inevitable in any project, we will always present possible solutions alongside any hiccups for a smooth, seamless process.

What if our project takes longer than expected?

The furnishings we order come from trade vendors, who sell exclusively to designers. This means more selection for you and a variety of unique products not available directly to consumers. These vendors only deliver to receiving warehouses with loading docks for their large trucks. Warehouses are an important part of our process, and also act as a quality control for the delivery as well.
